Adam Korzeniowski was born in 1960 in Krosno, where he received secondary music education in the clarinet from Józef Cymerman. In 1980, he undertook a course in choir conducting at
the Department of Music Education in Academy of Music at Cracow in the class of Arkadiusz Basztoń, where he graduated with honours. Subsequently, he took up studies at
the Department of Composition, Conducting, and the Theory of Music under Krzysztof Missona.
In 1984 he assumed, and held for ten subsequent years, the post of artistic director and conductor of Jagiellonian University Choir of Cracow, with which he gave multiple performances, both in Poland and Europe. He has been awarded numerous prizes and honourable mentions at contests and festivals (i.e. Legnica, Hajnówka, Katowice, Meinhausen, Eichen).
He mastered his conducting skills during courses led by Helmuth Rilling (Bachakademie Stuttgart), in Germany (Internationalen Dirigentenseminar, Leipzig 1987), Poland (1986, 1989) and England (choirmaster course, 1988).
He has performed with the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Cracow, Philharmonic Orchestra of Rzeszow, Capellae Cracoviensis, Chamber Orchestra of Slupsk, Symphony Orchestra of Academy of Music at Cracow, Drum Group of Cracow, Drum Group of Nurnberg, Ruhr Universität Orchestra in Bochum, and various soloists from Poland and Europe.
From 1998 until 2000 he held the post of second choirmaster of Cracow Opera and Operetta.
Currently, he is a doctor at Pedagogical University of Cracow, and Academy of Music at Cracow. At the latter he held the post of the Deputy Dean in the Department of Music Education (1996-1999), and the director of the Department of Choir Conducting, Music Education, and Church Music (2004-2008). Most recently, he has assumed the position of the Dean of the Department of Singing and Acting.
